DOANE VALLEY NATURE TRAIL. Trail head: At the top of Palomar Mountain, go left onto East Grade Road, following signs to Palomar Mountain State Park. From the park entry, take right-hand turns on paved roads for about 1.7 miles, following signs to “Camps” to the Doane Valley Pond day-use parking lot.
